- Conduction: steady-state and transient, 1D and 2D
- Convection: internal and external flows, forced and natural
- Radiation: blackbody, gray surfaces, view factors
- Combined-mode heat transfer
- Heat exchangers: LMTD and NTU methods
- Fins and extended surfaces
